Editorial and commercial photographer, Frederic Dekkal begins his career first as a photojournalist and event photographer in Paris.
Trained in lighting at the Verdier Centre in Paris, he then integrates the studio of Lagardère press (ELLE, ELLE Déco, ELLE à Table, Paris Match…) where he collaborates regularly with the most talented parisian still life, product and food photographers and develops his own style, precise and contemporary.
Now based in Ottawa, Frédéric focuses his work on products, food and art reproduction, delivering high-end images for e-commerce and advertising. He also works with clients in Montreal and Toronto.
An award-winning street photographer and visual artist, he is also the author of various photographic art projects exhibited in France, Canada and Japan.
Photographe éditorial et commercial, Frédéric Dekkal commence sa carrière tout d’abord comme photojournaliste et photographe évènementiel à Paris.
Formé en éclairage studio au Centre Verdier de Paris, il intègre ensuite les studios du groupe de presse Lagardère (ELLE, ELLE Déco, ELLE à Table, Paris Match…) Il collabore à cette occasion régulièrement avec les plus talentueux photographes parisiens de nature morte et développe son propre style, précis et contemporain.
Désormais installé à Ottawa, Frédéric se consacre à la photographie culinaire et de produits ainsi qu’à la reproduction d’oeuvres d’art, produisant des images de très haute qualité destinées au e-commerce et à la publicité. Il travaille aussi pour des clients à Montréal et Toronto.
Photographe de rue et artiste visuel primé, il est aussi l’auteur de nombreux projets photographiques exposés en France, au Canada et au Japon.
